Virginia "Jenny" Pauline (Huxford) Moose

Virginia "Jenny" Pauline (Huxford) Moose, 58, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on February 20, 2026, at MercyOne Hospital. Born on March 16, 1967, in Des Moines to Raymond Huxford and Carolyn Sorensen, Jenny was a lifelong blessing to those who knew her.

Jenny dedicated many years to customer service, a career that perfectly suited her natural desire to help others. When she wasn't working, she found joy in the simple things: a good episode of Big Brother, Survivor, or Downton Abbey, and a lifelong devotion to Jesus, her family, and the music of Elvis.

She is survived by her children, daughter Danyelle and son Matthew; her sister, Armetta Wireman; her nephew, Brad (Eva) Haus; and her niece, Amber Wireman.

In a final, whimsical departure, Jenny was carried away by her troop of garden gnomes to reunite with those who preceded her in death: her parents, Carolyn Kay Sorensen and Raymond William Huxford; her sisters, Babetta Maria Haus and Carolina Kay Huxford; and her brother, Paul Thomas Huxford.
