Verona Aleshire

Verona M. Aleshire, died on October 18, 2025 at Wesley on Grand.

Verona was born May 31, 1935, in Bluffton Township near Wadena, MN, to the late Elmer and Rachel (Williams) Greenwaldt. She graduated from Motley High School in 1953.

Verona married Melvin C. Aleshire on October 16, 1954, at the First English Lutheran Church in Staples, MN. They raised two children. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Verona is survived by two children, Deborah Carpenter of Sauk Rapids, MN, and Bryan (Doris) Aleshire of Des Moines, IA. Two grandchildren, Janel McCarter, and Adam (Stephanie) Aleshire; three great-grandchildren; two brothers; and two sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and one sister.

Verona will be laid to rest at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, Minnesota with her husband.
