Vesta Verlee Mooberry, 85, of Des Moines, IA, passed from this life, and now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Vesta was baptized and a member of the nondenominational Church of Christ. Vesta attended First Federated Church for many years and currently Grace Church. Vesta had been employed with Meredith Corp. and Ruan Transportation for many years and also had traveled to many countries, Europe, Mexico, and Hawaii. Vesta leaves behind her loving family - Sisters, Sharon Eubanks, Connie Snyder, Susan (Forey) Jacobson; Nieces, Debbie Martin, Brenda (Tim) Owens (Newton); and Nephews, Richard (Connie) Eubanks and Jeff (Ginger) Snyder of The Woodlands, TX. Preceding Vesta in passing, her beloved Parents, Carroll and Vivian Miller and Brother-in-law, Richard (Dee) Eubanks. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2026, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Warren Powers Cemetery in Runnells, IA.
