Arnold Meyer Lewis, Jr., passed away on January 27, 2026, at home. He was born on February 20, 1955 in St. Louis, MO., to Arnold Sr., and Beverly (Bubb) Lewis.

Arnold graduated from Webster Groves High School, Missouri Valley College majoring in nonprofit administration, and obtained his masters from Lindenwood University.

Throughout his career, he coordinated fundraising at Benedictine college, the American Diabetes Association, and the Boy Scouts of America. He celebrated his retirement from Casey’s in 2017.

Arnold was an Eagle Scout who was passionate about the Boy Scouts his entire life. From his trip to Philmont, through his professional career, and up to the pinning of his grandson, Iain, at his Eagle ceremony.

The driving force in Arnold’s life was his strong and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, which he shared in partnership with his loving wife, Carla. He was deeply committed to his work in volunteering and fundraising at church, in the community, and with organizations that were important to him, like APDA and JDRF.

Arnold was an avid collector who enjoyed antiquing and thrifting. He especially loved Coke polar bears. Arnold’s collection of polar bear memorabilia was legendary. He was passionate about polar bear conservation efforts, going so far as to make a trip to Churchill to see them in their natural habitat. He enjoyed traveling and exploring new places, particularly the family trip to the Mediterranean. The last trip he took was a cruise with his wife Carla, children Tim, Dan, and Sara, and his granddaughter Kira.

Arnold is survived by his loving wife, Carla Davis; sons, Timothy Lewis and Daniel Lewis; daughter, Sara Lewis; step-sons, Anthony (Jerusha) Davis and Adam Davis; sister-in-law, Marla (Dan) Dismore Crum and 4 grandchildren, Iain, Zander, Kira and Lilly.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Martha and Nancy.

Family will greet guests on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., at Trinity on Fifth, 602 5th Ave SW., Altoona, Iowa. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m., at the church. Arnold will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery, Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
