Beulah Irene Richardson, 89, passed away on May 11, 2025, at Carlisle Care Center. She was born on September 29, 1935 in Dearing, Kansas to Frank and Carie (Brinker) McConnel.

Beulah loved gardening, her favorite flowers were roses. She was an amazing baker; a feature of her baking were her pie crusts. Beulah enjoyed doing needle point, reading, jigsaw puzzles, often times doing puzzles with her family. She was a marvelous seamstress, often sewing matching outfits for her daughters. A Sunday fish fry would take place a couple of times per year at Beulah’s house. Most importantly to her was her family.

Beulah was survived by her children, Carla Rees, Earl P. (Jose) Richardson, Coleen (Steve) Chambers, Ruth (Bob Zimmerman) Chambers; grandchildren, Brandon, Danielle, Austin, Jordan and Breana; several great grandchildren and a host of beloved family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry L. Richardson; parents, Frank and Carie McConnel; son, Jerry W. Richardson and her six siblings.

Family will greet guests on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa. A graveside service will take place following visitation at 1:00 p.m. at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be directed to either Alzheimer’s Association or St. Croix Hospice.
