Chad Dittmer, 16, passed away on September 22, 2024. He was born on March 19, 2008 to Harold and Christina Dittmer.

Chad was a student at North Polk High School. He was a momma’s boy, taking her for drives and always looking out for her. He was also a great big brother – even when he yelled at his little brother. Chad had a heart of gold, he would help anyone in anyway. He never expected anything in return for his generosity. Chad was a “fixer” from helping work on his mom’s truck to helping his friends. He took pride in his car, kept it clean all of the time. Chad enjoyed fishing, all things with “wheels” – cars, trucks, 4 wheelers, and hanging out with friends. He was currently attending DMACC for auto mechanics. Chad touched many hearts and lives in different ways.

Chad is survived by his mom, Christina Dittmer; dad, Harold; brothers, Bryce Dittmer and Harold "Bubba" Dittmer; sisters, Paige Dittmer and Mya Dittmer; grandmother, Peggy Hoffmeier along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Gladys and Dean Hoffmeier and grandparents, Darleen and Nemar Dittmer.

Family will greet guests on Thursday, October 3, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. A funeral service will take place on Friday, October 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
