Charlotte Ann Bell, 89, passed away on November 27, 2025 at Bethany Life in Story City. She was born on October 19, 1936 in Des Moines to Robert and Helen (Jamieson) Warner.

Charlotte loved teaching and helping children. For many years, she and James were camp managers at Wesley Woods — a summer camp for kids. They enjoyed this so much that they eventually went back to college, in Maryville, MO and received a Master’s Degree in Education.

Charlotte was known to be a shop-o-holic and loved the color blue. She enjoyed watching all things sports — except soccer.

While attending high school, Charlotte was crowned Homecoming Queen. Family was important to her, but she especially loved being a grandma.

Charlotte is survived by her children, Kim (Jeff) Magnani of Nevada, Tami (Jerry) Smalley of Des Moines and Rusty (Carla) Graves of Lincoln, NE; 7 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and sister, Gerri Peterson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Graves; second husband, Tom Bell; parents; sister Sharon (Ken) Mitchell and brother-in-law, Denny Peterson.

Private services will take place at Church of the Palms in Sarasota, Florida.
