Connie Sue Weston
November 29, 1946 — July 02, 2026
A Life Remembered:
Connie Sue Weston Lee was born on November 29, 1946 in Fairfield, Iowa to Lloyd and Mary Lee. During Connie’s early childhood, she moved many times until her parents finally settled in Des Moines.
Connie was married three times during her life. She was blessed with 3 children and 5 stepchildren, 13 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren. Connie was a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, but most of all, our best friend. Connie loved her family and would spend every day with them if she could have. The time with her family was spent going out to eat, to the movies, plays, concerts, shopping and museums. These are all memories that will be cherished forever. Connie’s first job was working at Phil’s Drive-Inn as a carhop. Through her working years she was a bartender, factory worker, driver for Meals on Wheels, receptionist, and a nanny for Tina.
Connie had a love for reading and writing short stories. One of her favorite accomplishments was having one of her short stories published in True Love Magazine. Connie’s other passion in life was hosting parties especially for Halloween. Connie loved creating and making costumes for everyone.
Connie was baptized and became a member of Debra Heights Wesleyan Church. Connie was active in the church for many years and truly enjoyed teaching the Kids Club.
Connie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer in late August of 2025. After fighting this battle before, she made the courageous decision to except Hospice Care for quality of life. Connie passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family and so much love on July 2, 2026.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her children Roger Kline, Tina (Bob) Chapman, Lisa (Dave) Narber, Allen Weston Jr., Sean Weston, Caitlin Zurfluh, Christopher Weston, Jesse Jean (Ben) Olsen; Brother John Lee, Brother-in-law William Croft, 12 Grandchildren, 33 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mary; her husband, Allen Weston; her sister, Mary Joan Croft; her brother, Lloyd Lee; her sister-in-law, Connie Lee; and grandson, James Shadden.
Until we meet again, We will love you to the Moon and Back.
