Delores Ann Dales (Dee), 87, was born on May 19, 1938 to Vera and Lloyd Sherrill.

She grew up in Knoxville, Iowa where she was raised by her grandparents, Dixie and Jim Beaman. She later moved to Des Moines where she met and married Charles (Chuck) Dales.

Dee enjoyed cooking, camping, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. Dee was happiest when she was in the midst of her family and friends serving them a home cooked meal.

She passed away on November 4, 2025 at Parkridge Specialty Care Center in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; grandparents, Dixie and Jim Beamen; bother, Vera Biddle; step-dad, Jim Biddle; father, Lloyd Sherrill; step-son, Mike Dales; son-in-law, Walter Malone and daughter-in-law, Emily Dales.

Dee is survived by her step-children; Barb Malone, Ken (Lois) Dales and Larry (Shelley) Dales; daughter-in-law, Linda Dales; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sister Ellen Orth and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Grace Church, 4200 E. 25th Street, Des Moines, Iowa on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will follow at the church.
