Dee “Red” found her greatest joy in being the ultimate caretaker for her family. From a young age, she nurtured not only her own family but also many others she loved as her own. Dee’s infectious smile, beautiful voice, and quick wit were just a few of the qualities that endeared her to everyone she met. A gifted cook and baker, she loved to feed everyone around her and made every gathering special. Dee was the glue that held her family together, always ready with a word of wisdom and the courage to speak her truth. A cherished phrase passed down through generations in her family, shared with her mother, sisters, and aunts was “Imemanni."
Dee had a special love for sports, often cheering on all her boys as they played, and she could always be found watching her favorite teams: The Raiders, A’s, and Dodgers. Her heart also belonged to Carmel, California, where she and Robert shared some of their happiest memories by the sea.
