Donna Mae Butler, 88, passed away at Iowa Lutheran Hospital on July 19, 2026. She was born on July 6, 1938 to Boyd and Emma (Dennis) Darrah in Des Moines.

Donna delighted in tinkering within her stunning flower garden. She had a passion for computers and exploring how they functioned. As the eldest sister, Donna cherished her role, wearing many hats throughout her life. Over a span of more than 45 years, she pursued numerous careers

Donna is survived by her loving family, siblings, Millie Lackey, Roberta Garber, Colleen (Bob) Lackey and Pauline (Rick) Kvien; daughter-in-law, Sharon Boyd; sister-in-law, Michele Darrah; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her sons, Jack Boyd and Mark Boyd; parents and brother, David Darrah.

A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 27, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines.
