Etta went home to be with her heavenly father on October 14, 2025. Per Etta’s wishes, she will be cremated and there will be a private service.

Etta was born on September 15, 1947, to Charles Anderson White and Mable Sites in Des Moines, Iowa. Etta loved her family so much and missed her special husband, Donald Huffy, whom she was married to for 43 years. She worked for Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 37 and a half years. Etta loved cooking and having her family and friends over for dinner. She loved to walk with her sweet dog, Maddy. Etta also loved to go out with her family and friends.

Etta is survived by her daughter, Stephanie (Danny) Lyons; grandchildren, Joshua Gilmore and Brandon Lyons; granddaughter-in-law, Linda Lyons; great-grandchildren, Connor, Rowan, and Freya; sisters, Peggy Lowe and Beverly (Art) Lett; brother, Lloyd Sites; nephew, Nick Lett; niece, Amanda Feyen; and her best friends, Joyce Richards, Mary Baker, Susanne Patterson, and Linn Huffy.

Etta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald William Huffy; parents, Charles Anderson White and Mable Sites; and her brother, Terry Sites.
