Gerardo Sanchez Villalpando, 44, passed away on April 20, 2025 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on October 13, 1980 to Juan and Guadalupe (Villalpando) Sanchez.

Gerardo was one of the toughest most hard-working people I ever knew he always found a way to support and help his loved ones with how ever he could, he was fearless and never gave up no matter how hard things got he would take it on the chin and continue to move forward. His smile, his laugh would brighten any room he'd step into, he was a bright light that slowly began to fade and he will always be remembered and live in our hearts. I want you to remember Gerardo not only as a loving caring father and husband, I want you to remember him as I see him un verdadero gallo fino.
