Howard Catron, 78, passed away at home on October 5, 2025. He was born the son of William and Dorothy Catron, on May 18, 1947. He was married to wife Jan for 58 years.

Howard enjoyed going on road trips all over the United States and enjoyed cruises with friends and family. He was proud of his time serving in the Air Force. It was very important to him to work hard and well to take care of his family. He kept busy with all kinds of activities over the years including camping, boating, and square dancing. Howard had many creative hobbies and was known for woodworking projects, making small shelves and entertainment centers. Howard cherished his grandchildren and loved spending time them.

Those left to cherish Howard’s memory include his loving wife Jan. His sons and their families; Doug and Sally and daughters Natalie and Allison; Matt and Kari and sons Sam and Zach.

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 p.m., on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Fort Des Moines Open Bible Church, 1116 Army Post Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50315.
