James Howard Walker

James Howard Walker, 75, passed away at MercyOne Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on April 7, 1950 to Gerald Millard and Florence (Steffan) Walker.

Jim enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His friend Jack was never far away. He was very knowledgeable and could talk for hours about anything and everything! He loved collecting his coins as well as sharing fond memories of fishing in Canada.

Those left to cherish Jim’s memory include his loving wife, Carol Walker; sister, Barbara Ann Walker; children, April (Erik) Davila, Katlen (Todd) Dooley, and John Gay Jr; and seven grandchildren, that he loved dearly.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Walker; and mother, Florence Steffen.

No formal services are planned at this time.
