Jean Kathleen (Cade) Vandersluis

Jean was born on February 11, 1957 in Des Moines, IA. She graduated from East High School in 1975, then attended Drake University, and later went to DMACC for tool and die. Jean worked as an office clerk at Iowa Power then for United Parcel finally she worked for Firestone until retirement.

She married Verle Vandersluis and had one child Blake Vandersluis. Jean enjoyed gardening, landscaping, crime shows, westerns and was an avid reader. The most important thing to Jean was her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles William Cade and Mary Jane Reynolds, her sister Katherine Marie Daniels and her dear friend June Starky.

She is survived by son Blake (Shay) Vandersluis and former husband, Verle Vandersluis. Her many close friends Daniel, Samantha, and Harper Pinegar, Bill Mihalovich, Donita H, Carol Garner, and Sonda Patrick.
