John Charles Weber
November 20, 1952 — July 26, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Charles Weber, who left us peacefully on July 26, 2025, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. John was 72 years old.
Born on November 20, 1952, in Dolliver, Iowa, John was the beloved son of Lloyd and Wilma (Ostwald) Weber. John's life was marked by a profound love for his family and friends, and a generous spirit that touched everyone he met. He found immense joy in traveling the world with his cherished wife, Mona, and in visiting loved ones across the country. His passion for golf and fly fishing often brought him together with friends, creating memories filled with camaraderie and laughter.
John's heart truly shone through his unwavering dedication to helping others. Whether offering a hand to a stranger or supporting a dear friend, he approached every interaction with kindness and compassion. He was also a man of deep faith, always ready to share his beliefs with those who would listen, and he began and ended each day with heartfelt prayers for his family and friends.
John leaves behind his devoted wife of 29 years, Mona, who was his constant companion and greatest love. He is also survived by his brother, Mark (Debbie) Weber, their daughter, Tiffany (Thomas Foote) Weber; her daughter, Audrey Weber; sister, Diane (Rich) Rierson; her son, Jeff (Kirsten) Anderson; their son, Ewan Anderson; and Johns his cherished godchildren, Sean Boyd, Josh Boyd, Noah Boyd, and Samantha Riess.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Wilma, and his brother, William “Bill” Weber, whose memory he held dear.
We invite all who knew and loved John to join us for a memorial service to celebrate his life and legacy. The service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Lifehouse Community Church, located at 4095 NW Urbandale Drive, Urbandale.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family. Your support and condolences are deeply appreciated during this difficult time. John will be profoundly missed, but his spirit of love and generosity will continue to inspire us all.

My heart is broken. John and my brother were best friends and ventured off to California together in the 70’s and also lived together at times. My brother passed away less than 6 months ago. I’m sure they are reunited.
Him and his mother came to my house for a bible study. He committed his life to Jesus and remained faithful even after our Jesus Freak days.
John and my brother helped me move to Oregon. When we reconnected at my brother’s funeral, he still had the pictures of the move.
I got to meet his wife and she prayed for me that I could get through the loss of my brother. Now I am praying for her.
See you soon my friend.

What a wonderful man, who was friends with my brother at a young age and me and my husband as well. I am heartbroken to hear this happened so quickly, and grateful I got to see him again a couple years ago. John made the world a better place!!! So sorry Diane and Ramona too
Hugs to you both💔
