Louise L. Bice

Louise L. Bice, 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at University Park Nursing and Rehab in Des Moines, Iowa.

Louise was born on September 14, 1952, in Des Moines, Iowa, and grew up there. She did not attend high school but went on to build a working life of her own. For many years, she was employed at the federal building downtown in Des Moines. Louise was later divorced.

She spoke fondly of her family and shared that she loved her parents deeply and was loved by them in return. Her father worked in a factory, and her mother stayed at home caring for the children. Louise was preceded in death by her parents.

Louise enjoyed cards and games, trivia, spelling bingo, crafts, exercise, sports, music, puzzles and word puzzles, gardening, patio time, watching television and movies, and participating in good mornings, socials, special events, entertainment, and story hour. She especially looked forward to visits, pet visits, manicures, resident council activities, and volunteering whenever possible. Those who interacted with Louise remember her as consistently pleasant and kind, often greeting others with a warm smile and enjoying conversation.

Per Louise’s wishes, she will be cremated, and no services will be held.

Though Louise is no longer with us, her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with those around her will remain in our hearts.
