Maureen Lynn Frette, age 76, passed away on May 3, 2026.

Maureen was born December 3, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa to Austin and Barbara McFadden. A life long resident of Des Moines, Maureen worked for Wells Fargo for 25 years.

Maureen dedicated her life to nurturing both plants and animals, finding joy in gardening on her farm in Earlham, Iowa. Maureen was particularly known for her kind heart, having rescued countless cats over the years. She will be remembered fondly by all who knew her as a devoted caretaker and a spirited advocate for the natural world.

Maureen cherished her family above all else and will be deeply missed by her husband, Mark Frette; daughter, Tammy (Curt) LeMar; grandchildren, Sara and Michael LeMar; sister, Kathy Johnson; brother-in-law, Gordon (Bobbie) Hulbert; half-sisters, Pam, Kim and Diana; and a host of extended family and friends.

Maureen was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Barbara McFadden.
