Melvin Alford, 57, passed away September 4, 2024. He was born December 16, 1966 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Melvin lived and worked in several towns throughout Iowa. Most recently in the Sac City area for Essensia.

He enjoyed grilling and smocking meats. Melvin also enjoyed playing fetch with his dog, Katie and horseback riding.

Melvin is survived by his son, Travis (Leslie) Bolte; granddaughter, Violet; brothers, Frank (Betty) Davis, and Randy (Mary) Fetters; sister, Cindy (Charles) Funk; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Richmond.

Celebration of life will be held a later date.
