Michelle Rae (Reeves) Watson

Michelle Rae (Reeves) Watson, 59, passed away peacefully July 10, 2025 at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Michelle was born October 19, 1965 in Des Moines, IA to Charles and Linda Reeves.

Growing up on the Eastside of Des Moines, Michelle graduated from Southeast Polk High School and later spent a summer in California before returning to Des Moines. Throughout her life, she found fulfillment in working with individuals with special needs and generously volunteered for the Special Olympics whenever possible.

Michelle held her family in the highest regard, cherishing her children, grandson, nieces, and nephews. She found joy in the company of loved ones, whether at family dinners, reunions, bingo nights, baseball or softball games, or even dance recitals.

Michelle is survived by her sons, Adam (Emily) Watson of Martensdale, Alex Watson of Des Moines, and Aron Watson of Des Moines; grandson, Charles Watson of Martensdale; sister, Kimberly (Danny) Fisher of Des Moines; brother, David Reeves of Des Moines; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Along with all the bonus kids she picked up over the years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Linda Reeves, and brother, Mark Reeves.

Celebration of Life Open House will take place August 16th, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the Carlisle Community Building, located at 35 Vine St, Carlisle, IA 50047. Light refreshments will be provided
