Miranda Lynn Davis
April 18, 1985 — May 16, 2026
In loving memory of Miranda Lynn Davis, who unexpectedly departed from this world on May 16, 2026. Born on April 18, 1985, in Des Moines, Iowa. Miranda was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her. She was the beloved daughter of Kelly Carmichael and Norman Davis III, and the cherished stepdaughter of Dennis Beaman.
Miranda’s journey through life was marked by her vibrant spirit and her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a devoted homemaker who took immense pride in her children: Danial, Emma Jo, and Charlie. Her days were filled with the joy of watching Danial race, cheering on Emma and Charlie at their ball games, and reveling in Emma’s dance performances. These precious moments were the highlights of her life, and her love for her children was boundless.
Miranda was a proud graduate of North High School, after attending the Saydel District, where she formed lifelong friendships and began to carve out her path in the world. Her career as a homemaker was not just a role but a calling, allowing her to pour her heart and soul into creating a loving and nurturing home for her family.
Her generosity and kindness knew no bounds. Miranda lived life loud, fast, and full of fun. She was the kind of person who never met a stranger, and her infectious smile could light up any room. Her warmth and openness endeared her to everyone she met, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Miranda had a passion for thrifting, fishing, gardening, and mushroom hunting, pursuits that brought her immense joy and peace. She found beauty in the simplicity of life’s pleasures and was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. Her love of music was a constant companion, providing the soundtrack to a life lived with exuberance and joy.
Miranda’s memory will forever be cherished by her loving family, including her parents, Kelly Carmichael and Norman (Lisa) Davis III; her stepfather, Dennis Beaman; her brother, Normie Davis; her sister, Journey Davis; her stepsister Ariel Waterson; and her children, Danial, Emma Jo, and Charlie; close friend, Ed Welch. She is predeceased by her grandparents, Charles and Patricia Carmichael, Harry and Sharon Peterson, and her grandfather, Norman Davis, Sr.; niece Jacquelen Dell Holley who undoubtedly welcomed her with the open arms; and her uncle, Rick Carmichael.
A celebration of Miranda’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Family and friends will gather to honor and remember her life lived with passion and love. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Animal Rescue League (ARL), a cause close to Miranda’s heart.
Miranda Lynn Davis will be dearly missed but never forgotten, as her spirit continues to shine brightly in the hearts of all who loved her. May her memory be a blessing and a source of comfort to those who knew her.
