Omer M. Adli, born June 5, 1969 in Council Bluffs, IA to Dr. Cemal and Sandra Adli. He had the honor of gaining a sister Safiye Mae 4 years later. After living in Council Bluffs, he moved to Mount Ayr in the winter of 1984 when he gained step father LeRoy Wood and step siblings. Omer enjoyed working on the farm his whole life with his grandparents in Walnut, IA and step father LeRoy in Kellerton, IA.

Omer graduated from Mount Ayr Community School in 1987. After high school Omer attended Iowa State University where he was actively involved in Block and Bridle. While at Iowa State he made many friends, but 1 stands true through the test of time, Jeff Probasco. They enjoyed many shenanigans over the last 30 plus years. He graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science in 1991. He lived in Minnesota and Illinois working in the sales industry after college and ultimately moved back to Urbandale, IA.

He had owned farm and cattle in Ringgold County that enjoyed deeply. In 2011, Omer purchased a semi-tractor and became an owner/operator. His career was cut short after his cancer diagnosis in January, 2023. He took early retirement from driving for contractor Sully Transport. His only child, Quincy Mae, was born in 2003, and he cherished his time as father. They enjoyed traveling and riding in the semi. Omer loved everything farming, Iowa State and John Deere.

Omer married the love of his life and true angel Brenda on July 21, 2023 where he happily gained a step son Zachary (Clarabelle) and his family. They visited NC often where he enjoyed the role of being a grandpa to Catalina and Camila. They affectionately called him P-Pop. Omer was a proud father of his fur animals Brooklyn Mae and Noodles Mae. After his diagnosis Omer and Brenda did as much as possible to complete his bucket list which included trips to Turkey, Arizona, North Carolina and other special events. Eight weeks prior to his passing Omer fulfilled his last request to cut silage in Ringgold County with his long-time high school friend.

He is survived by his loving wife Brenda, daughter Quincy, fur children Brooklyn and Noodles, stepson Zachary (Clarabelle) and granddaughters Camila and Catalina, his mother Sandra Wood, sister Safiye (Scott) Fleener, Adli, Resa, Faith and Jacob, step siblings Steve Wood, Sheri (Kevin) Frost, Lori Wood, Scott (Cindy) Wood, and many nieces, nephews and extended family in the United States and Turkey. He is preceded in death by his father Dr. Cemal M. Adli, step father LeRoy Wood and his grandparents.

Celebration of snacks will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2023 at Leon Golf & Country Club, 1204 W 1st St, Leon, Iowa.
