Patricia Ann Bacon, 76, passed away on November 11, 2025, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born on October 9, 1949, in Des Moines to David and Sarah (Colbert) Rue.

Patty lived her entire life in the Des Moines area. She was a devoted member of Grace Church for five years and deeply cherished her church family. She loved traveling to Missouri to visit her relatives, and could often be found sitting on her deck, enjoying peaceful moments while watching her dogs play. Patty was a joy to be around—always smiling, always kind, and truly a hard person not to love.

Patty is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Anthony; daughter, Kristina; brother, David (Kelley) Rue, along with a host of extended family and beloved friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Sarah Rue; sisters, Pam Cruchelow and Becky Rue.

Family will greet guests on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Grace Church, 4200 E. 25th Street, Des Moines, Iowa. A funeral service will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. Patty will be laid to rest at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Ave., Des Moines, Iowa.
