Patrick Lee Jackson

Patrick Lee Jackson, age 81, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at Taylor House Hospice. He was born on November 27, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Patrick worked at Des Moines Water Works for 25 years before retiring, then he went to work for Lewis System Armored Car for about 10 years. Patrick was an avid NASCAR fan and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is lovingly survived by his children, Dan Jackson, Tessa Contreras, Jackie Shreck, Rochelle Foster, and Todd Jackson; twelve grandchildren, two of which he helped raise, Travis and Keshia Baughman; many great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; other loving relatives and many special friends.

Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, Darlene and Everett Jackson, Sr., and his beloved wife, Kay Jackson.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, April 10, 2026 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Double inurnment graveside service with his wife will be held later this year at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Des Moines.
