Tong Wol Streb

Tong Wol Streb, age 77, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. She was born to Dal Kun Yi and Ok Cha Kim on March 14, 1948, in Seoul, South Korea.

Tong immigrated from Seoul to Des Moines, Iowa, where she lived for the rest of her life. She worked at Lutheran Hospital for nearly 40 years in patient services. Tong enjoyed gardening and yardwork, loved fashion, and cherished dining out with her husband. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, William Streb; her sister, Dong Pok Hyon; her brother-in-law, Chris Johnson; and her nieces and nephews, Won & Anita Hyon, Tae Sik & Gui Young Yi, Tae Kyong & Sung Chan Kim and Un Chu Ring, along with their children. She also leaves behind dear friends Kris & Terry DeBolt, Robert Pucket, and Larry & Jodi Stonehocker.

Tong was preceded in death by her parents, Dal Kun Yi and Ok Cha Kim; three sisters; and two brothers.
