William M. Todd
November 04, 1926 — May 16, 2025
William “Bill” M. Todd, age 98, was ushered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, while at home on the morning of May 16, 2025. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.
Bill was born on November 4, 1926 to Orval N. Todd and Marjorie A. (McCourty) Todd in Des Moines, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Francis (Fran) Irene Olson, his second wife, Mary Anne Larson Robinson, and his son-in-law, Harold “Butch” Ginther.
Surviving Bill are his three children, Robert W. Todd (Diane), Susan K. Ginther, David C. Todd (Doris), 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Bill met Fran at East High School in Des Moines. Fran introduced him to the Plymouth Brethren assemblies where he discovered his need for salvation and asked Jesus to be his Savior. After graduation from high school, the two married and Bill entered the military serving his time in Ketchikan, AK. Once his military service concluded, Bill went to work for Lambs Dental Labs in Des Moines where he was the manager of the gold department before he transferred to Beverage Dental Labs in the same capacity, where he stayed until his retirement.
Bill was an active brother in the Plymouth Brethren all his adult life, as a leading brother in preaching the gospel, teaching Sunday School, and as the treasurer. He was also known for having a ready sense of humor and always wanting, “...a little of each,” if there were multiple desserts to choose from.
There will be a visitation time Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at Hamilton's Funeral Home 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines. The family will meet from 9:30-10:00 am, with a visitation afterward from 10:00-11:30 am. A graveside service will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery at noon. All family and friends are welcome to come celebrate Bill's life.

We have fond memories of your loved Dad! He was so pleasant & a giver! He lived a long life!
Now he is safe "home" in perfect bliss with the One He loved! He surely will be missed! We so appreciate his telling my dad, his first cousin, about the assembly in Des Moines when I was a girl! What a privilege to be there!
