I can't imagine the pain you are going through right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you through this very difficult time. If you do not mind, I would like to share a poem that has helped my extended family with the loss of my young cousin.
Ill lend you for a little time, a child of mine, He said.
For you to love the time he lives, and mourn for when he's dead.
It may be for six or seven years, or twenty-two or three,
But will you, till I come back, take care of him for me?
He will bring his charms to gladden you, and should his stay be brief,
Youll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I can not promise he will stay, since all from here return.
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
Ive looked the wide world over, in my search for teachers true, and
From the throngs that crowd lifes lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love nor think the labor vain,
Nor hate Me when I come to call to take him back again?
I fancied that I heard them say, Dear Lord, thy will be done.
For all the joy thy child will bring, the risk of grief will run.
Well shelter him with tenderness; well love him while we may,
And for the happiness weve known, forever grateful stay.
But should the angels call him much sooner than weve planned,
Well brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand."

I knew Mark from OM schools, I am the school nurse. The staff coffee pot is located in my office so I saw Mark nearly every morning, with that I NEED COFFEE look on his face. My thoughts and prayers go out to you, his family, and also thanks that we got to share a small part of this wonderful young man's life. At a staff get together last fall he shared with me his love of books, any book, which I identified with, as I love to read. We miss him. Tracey Gray

Mark and I worked together maintaining the growing Carlisle Schools computer networks years 2002-2004. As a Senior he was especially both thorough and gentle providing instructions and leadership for Junior Techs in training. After high school graduation I was delighted when he returned to his old Carlisle Tech work site and spoke with me about his passions for the future and his college studies. I'm grateful he chose teaching but am certain his other considerations like being a youth pastor would have yielded equal blessings for all he touched. Mark never felt like he needed to prove himself to anyone but rather held the highest standards of personal integrity and simply did his best.
Mark was always so full of life that I still can not comprehend that he now thrives in heaven with his Lord Jesus. Know that Mark was much more than a valuable tech assistant to me. I valued his proposed solutions, cherished his optimism, and shared his sense that life has a purpose that transcends the details of our present situation. Mark was a class act.

Where do I start? I've really grown close to Mark this year. He was so kind and patient with all of us 'older folks' when we had a tech question. He helped me learn about and use the smartboard. The kids really loved when he came in to help me and even gave him hugs, which he kindly returned. (Even though little kids scared him to death.) He was very supportive of our sports teams and attended as many events as he could. The kids always commented that they could hear him shouting encouragement to them from the stands. I sat next to him at every basketball game and will miss his signature phrase, "Well Done!" Mark was so full of life and had a quiet wit that always made me chuckle. The time I spent with him will be a memory I will always treasure. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed. "Well Done" on raising a wonderful man!
With sincerest sympathies,
